Dr. Sims is a materials researcher whose work is focused on the development and design of advanced materials to meet emergent application demands. Before coming to UT-ORII, Zachary was a Lawrence Postdoctoral Fellow at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. There he was focused on studying multi-principal element alloys for use in extreme environments. He is excited to be a part of UT-ORII where his expertise can be leveraged to discover new and vital advanced materials and fill technology workforce gaps.
