
Xiang Lyu
ORNL R&D Associate Staff Scientist
Xiang Lyu is a Transportation and Grid research and development associate staff scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Lyu is also a University of Tennessee-Oak Ridge Innovation Institute Fellow.
Lyu received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Ohio University in 2020. He joined ORNL in 2021 as a postdoc research associate. He has published more than 30 journal articles with more than half as the first author. He is the recipient of the 2023 UT-Battelle Outstanding Research Output Team Award. Currently, he dedicates his research to water electrolysis under acid, alkaline and seawater mediums, fuel cells, and electrochemical CO2 reduction reactions.
