Megan Sibley
ORNL Distinguished Staff Scientist
Megan Sibley is a distinguished scientist with Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Medical Isotopes Development Group. She is also a University of Tennessee-Oak Ridge Innovation Institute Fellow, working with the institute’s Radiopharmaceutical Therapies Convergent Research Initiative.
Her research focus is investigating new chelators for targeted alpha therapy applications. Her graduate focus was the efficient synthesis of polyaminocarboxylic acid ligands for f-element separations. As a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, she synthesized diglycolamide ligands covalently bound to electrospun polymeric membranes for the rapid purification of actinium-225.
Prior to her appointment, Sibley was a part of ORNL’s Chemical Separations Group as a postdoctoral research associate.
