L.P Tharika Nirmani is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Tennessee-Oak Ridge Innovation Institute. She holds a B.Sc. special degree in Chemistry from University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Oklahoma State University. Her doctoral research focused on the facile green synthesis of organic materials which involved mechanochemistry, polymer chemistry, and green chemistry. Her research at the UT-ORII will focus on the mechanosynthesis and mechanoretrosynthesis of organic materials using high speed ball milling.
