E. Bryn Pitt is an R&D Staff Member in Manufacturing Robotics and Controls at the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He is part of the University of Tennessee-Oak Ridge Innovation Institute’s Clean Manufacturing and Advanced Materials Convergent Research Initiative.
Pitt specializes in robotics and control systems engineering with applications across a range of advanced manufacturing areas. His current research focuses on addressing technological and economic challenges of low-volume, infrastructure-scale manufacturing that limit the adoption of clean energy technologies.
Prior to his current appointment, Pitt worked in private industry, where he focused on human-robot interaction and fail-safe control system design.
